Project Description

This project involved the complete build-out of a 16,986 square foot Planet Fitness location within an existing empty tenant shell. The scope included comprehensive interior demolition, new structural and non-structural partitions, and the creation of a modern, high-energy fitness environment designed to align with Planet Fitness’s signature “Judgement Free Zone” branding. The layout featured expansive open workout areas for cardio and strength training equipment, dedicated zones for free weights and functional training, a spacious front-of-house with retail merchandising and member check-in, as well as support spaces including locker rooms, restrooms, and staff areas. High ceilings, strategic lighting, and vibrant branded graphics enhanced the welcoming and motivating atmosphere.

The build-out encompassed all associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, including upgraded HVAC to support high-occupancy fitness use, energy-efficient LED lighting, fire protection, and necessary utility infrastructure. Finishes included durable, low-maintenance flooring (rubber and polished concrete), painted walls with accent branding elements, and fully equipped locker rooms with showers and vanity areas. The project was delivered with minimal disruption to the surrounding retail environment, targeting a professional, on-schedule completion that positions this new location as a premier community fitness destination.
